My name is Casey.
I am an nonbinary trans parent living in Boston. I work for the City and am pretty obsessed with it. My kid fell asleep drawing until she could read. Now she mostly falls asleep reading. We read a lot. And I write a lot. Then I delete it. So don’t get attached to anything you read around here, it will probably be gone soon.
Riley is my kid.
She is in 9th grade in Boston Public Schools. Everyone has told me to enjoy her because she will turn rotten one day, but she just keeps getting better. They were wrong. But I’m glad I got to enjoy her all along anyway.
Lauren is my wife.
I am previously divorced and Lauren and I have a 12 year age difference. She's an actual dream come true. She's an incredible mom and the best dog mom (and reluctant cat roommate). We got engaged in 2019 and planned a wedding for October 2020 but Covid changed all of that. Then we planned for June 2022, but I got Covid 5 days before the Big Day. That wasn’t great. We finally had our wedding in August 2022 and it was truly the best day of our lives.
Tully is our baby.
She was born a month early - surprise! People were pretty shocked when we told them we were having another kid, 14 years after the first one, but doing this all over again is all brand new. Because Tully is brand new! And we all think she’s great!
Timothy is our pandemic kitten cat.
Luna is our perfect black lab.
They're best friends.
